What is Structural Steelworks?
Structural steelworks is the engineering, fabrication and erection of welded and bolted steel frames that form the primary load-bearing skeleton of a building or industrial structure. It covers everything from a small workshop portal frame to long-span column-free factories and high-rise steel-framed buildings.
Our scope includes godowns, warehouses, commercial and office buildings, factories, workshops, aircraft hangars, exhibition halls, hospitals, churches, institutional buildings, special infrastructure, sports and stadia, multi-storey steel buildings, residential homes, flower-farm processing lines, water tanks and towers, modular units and light fabrications.

A standard 1,000–2,500 sqm warehouse typically takes 10–16 weeks from approved drawings to handover, depending on cladding, services and weather. We confirm a programme with your quotation.
We handle both. Avonstructures runs an integrated design–fabricate–install workflow, which removes the gaps that often arise when these scopes are split between contractors.
We have delivered clear spans up to 80m for warehouses and 45m for tea factories. Larger spans are achievable with trussed roof systems.
Yes. We operate a mobile fabrication yard that we set up near remote project sites in Kenya and have completed work in Burundi and other Eastern and Central African locations.
Standard scope includes shot-blast or wire-brush preparation, zinc-rich primer and an enamel or epoxy top coat. Hot-dip galvanising and intumescent fire-protection coatings are available on request.
