What is Packhouses and Cold Chain Structures?
A packhouse is a controlled-environment building where harvested produce is received, graded, trimmed, packed, pre-cooled and dispatched. It combines a clear-span steel frame, an insulated envelope, hygienic floors and drainage, cold rooms, and loading docks sized to refrigerated trucks.
